Outreach Programs
Holy Trinity’s commitment to service is important to both our own church family and to those beyond the boundaries of our parish. Reaching out and ministering to those in need means that we, as individuals and as a parish, are living our faith and sharing with others the importance of Christ in our lives.
RECTOR’S MINISTRY FUND
The first weekend’s monthly cash offerings go to the Rector’s ministry fund. This fund enables the church to assist with urgent needs of the community or those right here in our own parish. YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
One Man’s Treasure
One Man’s Treasure seeks to empower men recently released from prison to the Dallas area by providing them with clothing and opportunities for networking. Holy Trinity supports an ongoing clothing drive, organized by the Brotherhood of St. Andrew. The designated area for drop-off is located in the parish hall foyer. Quality clothing of all sizes is welcome and appreciated.
Food Pantry and Clothing Drive
Our parishioners are dedicated to those experiencing hunger or in need of clothing and we support organizations committed to providing resources for families in need. We always welcome non-perishable food donations for food pantries and gently used clothing. An area has been designated in the parish hall foyer for this purpose.
Sandwich Sunday
Parishioners supply and deliver sandwiches to Austin Street Center every 2 months. Volunteers are always needed to make 2 loaves of sandwiches. Most popular varieties are tuna, chicken salad, pimento cheese, and egg salad. Reminders are posted in the calendar, fridge notes and on Facebook!
Adult Outreach Committee
“Prayer in Action” – Focused on improving the human condition and quality of life of those who are disadvantaged (socially, economically, physically) and those who are spiritually disconnected within the parish communities and beyond. Want to give back? Contact the church office to find out how.
Holy Meals on Wheels
Supplies meals to parish families with special temporary needs. Could be a new baby, death in the family or sickness. For more information on how you can volunteer or if you are in need of assistance, please contact the church office.
Angel Tree
Every Christmas season, Holy Trinity hosts an Angel Tree with names of children in need. Simply take a name, purchase a gift and return to the tree. Our “Angels” deliver the gifts just in time for Christmas morning.
